Since there were no replacement games in the regular season, many official policies were never announced; the information in this section is thus probably incomplete. Some broadcasters have escape clauses in their contracts which relieve them of their responsibility to televise games with replacement players. Such stations would be likely to cancel or cut back on broadcasts, because replacement ball would be likely to draw poor ratings, and be difficult to sell to advertisers.
