The US involvement in WW-I in the immediate short term was not of a great significance other than the fact that it provided manpower and resources to aid the allied effort. The war surely did not change the status quo of the US on a global stage immediately. This is how I feel the US involvement affected in the long run: Remember that the reasons for WW-I were way too complex than WW-II. Unlike WW-II, the WW-1 was not directly a result of peoples involvement. In fact it was something that was levied on a common man (in europe) un-wanting it. It was a result of complex treaties between the European empires. One way the WW-1 affected the world was that, it put an end to monarchies in Europe (where they still existed) and brought about a revolution. The revolution established two concrete ideologies viz.
