It is the organisation set up to deal with the community safety issues in the Local Area Agreement. It is made up of the CDRPs, Youth Offending, Fire, Police, DCC and voluntary services. A Task & Finish Group was currently looking at the recommendations of a radical review of the SDP. Lesley Halton would represent CDRPs on the group. A one-year seconded post was dealing with the recommendations and, in particular, to resolve problems of engagement. What was the structure for funding of the CDRP? This is based on per head of population and the crime rate in the area – currently came direct to local partnerships. What are the links between the CDRP and the public? The Partners and Communities Together (PACT) initiative linked the police and local community in order to find the main local issues of concern which could be taken forward for resolution.
