What was the role of the United Nations Voluntary Fund on Disability in the negotiation of the Convention?
During the negotiation process the United Nations Voluntary Fund on Disability supported the participation of representatives of organizations of persons with disabilities from developing countries – and in particular from the least developed countries – in the Ad Hoc Committee sessions. Grants from the Voluntary Fund are targeted to support pilot and innovative action around the Convention promotion and implementation.
