What was the religion of the South Carolina colony?
There were many. South Carolina had one of the highest black populations, and those Africans brought their old religion with them. It’s still there today in the form of Vodoun (voodoo) Other Africans had been Muslims before they were stolen and they practiced their religion in bondage as well. Native Americans still in the area had their tribal religions. White people were Baptist and Catholic and a few other Christian denominations, and there were Jews in Charleston before 1700.
