What was the relationship between you and the late Remi Fani-Kayode like?
Yes, thank you very much. I was in the Action Group Youth Association. I was in the leadership position and we worked hard to make the party win elections. Remi Fani-Kayode was also one of the youths. But, he and I differed in our approaches. Fani-Kayode wanted to lead the youths against the leadership of the party. I was for leading the youths to foster development and to remain totally loyal to the leadership of the party. This actually led to a split within the Action Group Youth Association. I have good reasons to say that my school of thought became dominant while Fani-Kayode lost ground. Could you reflect on how you became the governor of Lagos State in 1979?
