What was the “real” reason for Hitler Youth?
The ‘real’ reason for Hitler Youth was that Hitler wanted to spread the message of the Nazi party as far and wide as possible. For a few years, the Nazi party did not have much support, so Hitler looked at the ways other leading parties gained their support. He saw that the Communist Party spread their message through organisations and groups in many towns. So, he set up Hitler Youth to spread the message to young people. He also set up other groups such as homeless shelters, where of course the focus was on everything Nazi. So, the ‘real’ reason is that Hitler was using it as a tool to spread the message of the Nazi party and gain popular support.
