What Was The Purpose Behind The NATO Call For Investigation Into The Recent Shooting Spree In Afghanistan?
The call of the Nato force that is based in Afghanistan demanded an investigation into the matter of the shootings that took place at the border that killed a soldier of the United States. It was said that the officer who shot the soldier was dressed in a Pakistani paramilitary uniform. Last week about a 1000 of Afghans protested outside the Pakistan Embassy in Kabul (the state capital of Afghanistan), accusing the Pakistanis for invading their homeland, an incident that catalyzed few clashes that resulted in the death of 13 Afghans. It took few representatives of ISAF (the Nato-led International Security Assistant Force) to fly down to the border in order to calm the raging tensions existing at the spot. Lieutenant Colonel Maria Carl demanded an investigation into the deaths and injuries of the US soldiers by the Pakistani military.
