Education, excellent planning, learning from other countries’ mistakes and sucesses, and generally Asians are very hardworking, so when they set their minds and hearts on something, they really go for it. This had made countries like Singapore one of the most developed and richest countries in the world, with some of the most free economies, one of the top corruption-free countries in the world, one of the most competitive countries in the world with some of the lowest crime rates in the world as well as having world-class brands like Singapore Airlines and PSA Logistics. All this happened in a period of 30+ years, which from a squalid, 3rd world country where everyone lived in wooden shacks, after the British and Malaysia deserted them, to a fully developed country rivalling those of western countries. It’s pretty amazing what determination, hardwork and good governing can do.
