What was the motivation behind the filming of GrandConnection: Three Generations on Grandparenting?
In Catalyst Associates work with aging adults, it is impossible to not be moved by the power of GrandParenting. The issue emerges in every focus group we conduct and has been highlighted in all-major journals dealing with aging including American Demographics. Unfortunately, few have looked at the issue relative to its impact on all three generations, GrandParents, adult children and grandchildren. Our goals were to listen carefully to the three generations and provide a discussion tool that could be used in multiple settings, to identify recurring themes and to enhance dialogue between the generations.
