What was the most fulfilling part for the Miss Universe Canada pageant?
Ravi Bansal: The most fulfilling part was meeting the director of the SOS foundation and other sponsors that will help me in my crusade to end the sex trade in India and China. SCM: Has your life changed since the competition? RB: Yes. I realized how much more my crusade to end the sex trade meant to me and how I want to give those girls and boys out there in India and China an equal opportunity in life as we have here in Canada. I feel blessed to have the tools and now the resources that will help my foundation succeed. SCM: What is your foundation called? RB: It is called the Gaihn Foundation but the name will be changing. I will keep you posted. SCM: What have you gained from the competition personally? RB: I feel more in touch with my feminine side. My close friends and family know that I don’t wear make-up on a regular basis. And before the competition I didn’t even know how to apply make-up!
