Answer Hi Amanda, This is a very vague and unspecific question. “The Monarchy” covers a tremendous amount of information. Is there anything specific that you want to know about the monarchy during Shakespeare’s time? As a start let me say that Shakespeare wrote during the reign of two different monarchs. He was born in the market town of Stratford-upon-Avon 1564, in the 6th year of the reign of Elizabeth I, where he grew up, married and had three children.
