On 29th January 2001, the London Stock Exchange issued a technical release at the end of the day with regard to the demerger and consolidation of listings changes in FTSE Indices as follows: “Based on today’s Granada Compass closing price of 692p, the price of Compass Group has been estimated as 482.4p, and the price of Granada estimated as 209.6p. The constituent changes will be implemented from the start of trading on 2 February based on the above prices.
