Jodie Foster started her career at the age of two in 1964. For four years she made commercials and finally gave her debut as an actress in the TV series Mayberry R.F.D. (1968), which her brother, Buddy Foster, was a regular. Menace on the Mountain was her first movie in 1970. It is a really engaging story in which a boy takes over the male head of the family role when his dad goes off to war. Great flick! I remember when she did a Coppertone suntan lotion commercial at the ripe old age of 3 years old. She said that her only regret is that she would love to live life without knowing what it’s like to be famous.
