Mara: “I guess there is some discussion among certain members of the league that maybe the Thanksgiving games should be alternated. What we were asked to look at is whether being able to host the game on Thanksgiving Day gives you any competitive advantage. And based on the statistics that we reviewed I think we concluded that it really doesn’t give anyone a significant advantage. My own view is that the Thanksgiving Day game has become such a tradition in Detroit, and to a lesser extent in Dallas, that it is just not worth changing.
