what was the effect of the family man when he took the gun?”
A former Army solider has been jailed for 32 months after brandishing an imitation shotgun on the streets of Goole to boost his ego. Serial-offender Grant Hart (22) breached an early prison release by threatening Gavin Thompson in Limetree Avenue with the gun, saying: “You’re going to get shot.” Mr Hart graduated from violence with his fists to the gun after becoming angry he had lost out in a fight with Mr Thompson in Aire Street at around 1.30pm on September 20. Hull Crown Court heard on Friday that Mr Thompson thought nothing of the dispute, but Grant Hart did. Mr Hart told police that he left the scene and went to Chiltern Road to make a telephone call to Simon Epton (30). Mr Hart told police he paid Mr Epton, who had former Army connections, £170 for a single-barrel shotgun for “services rendered”. Mr Hart said Mr Epton then went off and got four cartridges. Mr Epton denied getting the cartridges or the gun was his. Mr Hart then made more calls and got a lift back into Goole town
