What Was the Day and Date That Moses Crossed the Red Sea?

The title of this paper may appear to be overly simplistic, but what follows is the result of some elementarily simple calculations (actually it started with me just toying with my calculator). I had a question in my mind involving two major events in the Old Testament. Question: The Red Sea Crossing and the 40 years of wandering, is there sufficient information in the Bible to determine what day it was. And, can the “40 Years” be understood more precisely? A starting point; (regarding the Passover as specified in the 12th chapter of Exodus) stated is the month, ABIB. Also stated is what was to be done, and on what day it is to be done. On the 10th day get the Passover Lamb, and on the 14th day “…the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening…” There is however, no clue as to what day of the week it was.
