What was the cause of the shooting at the TN Valley Unitarian Universalist Church?
The shooter left a message saying that he blamed liberals for his unemployment. He had just received notice that his food stamps would be greatly reduced. His ex-wife had been a member of that particular Unitarian Fellowship but it was reported that nobody remembers her attending for some time. It is believed that he may have attended with her a few times in the past. The church had been active in local politics which he blamed for his unemployment. He had threatened to kill his ex-wife and then commit suicide. He indicated in his letter that he planned to keep shooting until the police killed him. It was obviously a suicide mission. He just didn’t calculate how easy it would be for people to overpower him while he was reloading. He wasn’t the brightest bulb on the tree. He murdered my sister for no good reason. She was in the process of trying to take a picture of her friend’s granddaughter when he shot her in the head. Now, he’s trying to get off on an insanity plea.
