What was the BJM – Dandy Warhols feud of 1997?
The feud was nothing more then Anton Newcombe, from BJM, trying to get publicity by blasting the Dandy Warhols in the media and declaring war on them. The pinnacle of it came when Anton mailed a bullet to each member of the band with their names on them. Shortly after this, BJM wrote a song, “Not If You Were The Last Dandy On Earth,” a take-off of the Dandy Warhols “Not If You Were The Last Junkie On Earth.” Not long after that, Anton came out and declared it was all just meant in fun, even though the Dandys never knew that to be the case until after the fact.
