What was the American and Italians reaction to the killing of Archduke Ferdinand?

I like eggs… America really didn’t care much for Archduke Ferdinand. However, at the time in the early 1900s, many U.S citizens had family members and ancestors in Europe, and Austria-Hungary. Many American citizens were angry, but as a whole, America didn’t really care much for it. I am not sure about Italy.
