• The subject grade which gives a grade of A-F is based solely on the average of test grades. Grades which appear below are effort codes and these grades are derived from the amount of effort a child puts into each subject. These grades can be very different. For example a child may score poorly on tests and therefore receive a D in math on the top subject grade, however, the same child may receive all E’s on effort codes because they participate, ask questions in class, completes all the homework and demonstrates the ability to try to understand the work.
