What was Peter the Apostle really like?

Peter: Peter was obviously a very sweet man, very loving and reacted quickly to his emotions. His letter shows him being a caring person who wanted Christians to look out for their mates caringly. He also must have been very conscientious of his duties. Otherwise, Christ wouldn’t have told him to tend his sheep. This sense of obedience was demonstrated even in small things when he beheld the many unclean animals that were shown him in a vision during which he was told to kill and eat such. This vision also gives us a glimpse of his mind, a quick mind that got the point both in regard to animals and in regard to gentiles that Christ conveyed to him in this vision. ——- A point apart from this subject is also that in Peter’s letters the only known reference (to me) to Mary, Jesus’ mother, is found outside the gospel accounts and the book of Acts (an opinion).
