What was Nefertiti Known For?
Nefertiti was known for her appearance in artworks of the time including a famous bust discovered in 1912 of Nefertiti. Nefertiti had been forgotten about until the bust was discovered and gained worldwide attention. She was also known for her part in the religious revolution which cast aside old Egyptian Gods and instead worshiped the sun, known as Aten. Artworks portray her as being actively involved in the cult of Aten.
