What was Mike like as a little kid?
Very different from the Mike we know now. As a young lad, Mike was very rebellious, thumbing his nose at authority wherever he saw fit. This included such stunts as kicking other kids’ lunchboxes, and getting into multiple brawls each day. His misbehavior was not without consequences, however, for he earned many a blue slip–a form of punishment–and the dreaded stand at the “blue feet,” another measure taken by his elementary school to deter any deviant behavior. This rebellious phase of Mike’s life came to a head in the climactic battle with Nick Wiberg, and from that day forth, Mike devoted himself to a life of obedience and quiet solitude. And one time in second grade Mike was reading out loud from a book, and he said “started” when the book actually said “stared.” Unforgivable.
