What was Jons involvement in INXS?
Jon was invited to provide guest vocals for INXS when the remaining band, eager to move on after the untimely death of Michael Hutchence, decided to hit the stage again. Jon was so popular with audiences, and so admired by INXS, that they eventually kept him as a lead singer, officially announcing him as a member of INXS after two years. However, Jon is no longer with INXS – he has parted ways with them, citing differences in the vision and direction of the band. Jon has always been a person that wants to move forward and continue creating music, so it’s understandable that he may not have felt creatively fulfilled in INXS – a band that seemed happy to play the old songs continuously.
