Eventually Jonah did preach repentance to the Ninevites. Amazingly they repented and turned away from sin and were saved. Jesus has come as the Son of God to preach repentance and the forgiveness of sins. He is “something greater than Jonah”. That is an understatement! Yet, have we listened to His message? Do we keep looking for signs like the “evil generation” of Jesus’ time? Or do we recognize our sinful ways and turn away from them? This time of Lent is a time of conversion for each of us.
