Somehow I think part of this account was mistranslated in the KJV. According to John, when everyone had drunk up all the wine, Mary said to Jesus, “they have no wine.” Said Jesus, “woman, what concern is that to you and me?” That doesn’t seem a very respectful way to speak to your mom, and Jesus was a respectful person.
