What was it like working with Ja Rule?
Christina Milian: Working with Ja Rule was tons of fun. When I first did the song, Ja wasn’t in the studio and I hadn’t even met Ja. I had just signed to Def Jam and, about two months later, my A&R guy called me. He was like, “Ja Rule’s looking for somebody to sing this song and they can’t find any girl to sing it right. Can you come and meet [his producer] tomorrow?” I thought it was a cool idea. The next day, I went in. Ja had already rapped all over it. He just needed somebody to sing it.
