What was it like working alongside Queen Latifah at such a young age?
I was really nervous. But my nerves turned into this excited-kid thing. I always say it was the best experience because it was the first experience. I really had a good time. Your performance in The Wool Cap earned you an NAACP award. What does that achievement mean to you career-wise? I realized it was really big. I’m so thankful to have gotten that role and thankful to have worked with William H. Macy because he’s so nice. I see him all the time and he won’t recognize me for half a second because I was so little when I did the film. Besides the Kids’ Choice Award, are there any other awards you have your eye on? I can’t wait for the Grammys, hopefully I’ll be nominated. You’ve also had roles in Madea Goes to Jail and Madea Family Reunion. What’s it like working under Tyler Perry? Awesome, he makes everything fun. He’s very giving. His set is full of love and he always makes sure everything is going well. You recently appeared on the Tyra Banks Show to talk about your upcoming album.
