What was it like running Morgan Stanley during that moment?
Mack: It wasnt a question of being scared from our perspective but it was a question of how are we going to fix these problems and all credit to my management team, the way we worked together, worked with regulators finding solutions to our problems because if you remember after Merrill Lynch was bought, Morgan Stanley came into attack and so did Goldman Sachs. Our stock went down our credit spreads widened down and there was a lot of fear in the market about these firms and as you know we reached out to a number of people, Mitsubishi is one of the main groups that we reached out to also an investor with us from China. So it was trying to find ways to put come calmness back into the markets that these are ongoing institutions that really deliver value on a global basis in finance and our clients and what we have to do get people onboard and have confidence not only in us but the system.
