What was it like meeting and touring with Joey Ramone after growing up with his music?
ARMSTRONG: We loved Joey. We toured with them in ’96 and it was amazing. Every night we were watching them play. I could watch them over and over again. They were the first band I ever fell in love with. My brother bought those records in the 70s. No one had to tell us how great they were. Joey was such a sweet guy. They were all very respectful to Rancid. FREDERIKSEN: We had done this interview with the Ramones for Guitar World. We talked about getting on the road together and it was like a dream come true.
