What was important about Gemini and Apollo space missions?
Gemini was the testing ground for the Apollo missions. In the Gemini missions, testing of systems such as docking with the Agena module that was launched a day or two previously. This was to test if docking with the Lunar Module could be accomplished. Celestial n navigation techniques were also tried and perfected, too. Apollo put many of these techniques to the test.
