What was Green Days first album?
Before Green Day was Green Day they were known as Sweet Children. While they were Sweet Children they released “Sweet Children – EP”. This EP included songs that are now on Green Day’s album Kerplunk! (Sweet Children, Best Thing in Town, Strangeland, and a cover of The Who’s My Generation). When they were Green Day, the first album they released was the album “39/Smooth” on vinyl and cassette. That album, along with the EP “Slappy” and the EP “1,000 Hours” make up Green Day’s first CD, appropriately named “1,039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours”. That album is widely accepted as Green Day’s “first album”.
