EverQuest Legends refers to the now-defunct Stormhammer server, a premium service server. Players had to pay extra to be able to create characters on Stormhammer, where the game included various bonus features and increased dynamic content and customer service via GM-driven events. The Legends server was shut down in early 2006, with existing characters being offered a chance to transfer for free to regular servers.
