On the eve of the Inauguration, August 31, there was a concert held in Edmonton at the Thistle Rink (102 St and 102 Ave). It was provided by a 41-piece choir and a 15-piece orchestra. On the morning of the Inauguration Day, there was a parade along Jasper Avenue, down to the ceremonial platform in Rossdale.
