At Yalta Stalin, Churchill and Roosevelt decided which parts of occupied Europe would be adminstered by which of the victorious countries. At Potsdam the war inEurope was over and a date was fixed for the Soviets to join in the war against Japan, This was to be August 8 1945 but the USA dropped the twp atomic bombs to finish the war quickly brfore the Soviets could get any Japanesse territory.
