If you were a queen consort, then you would have a lot of leisure time. So here are a few things you would do to fill the time. You would have official duties. You would grant audiences to people that wanted your ear. So you would spend some portion of your time listen to people complain. Not that you had any authority, but people might think you could affect your spouse’s decisions. The nobility entertained a lot, so you would be planning, hosting and attending social functions quite frequently. Dancing and music were favorite passtimes. There were games, like cards and chess. And yes, women played chess. Eleanor of Aquitaine was quite good at it. Embroidery was a common hobby, even for wealthy women.
