What wars did Odysseus fight ?
IF Odysseus actually lived then the Trojan War would be the only one we can say for certain he fought in. The problem is we can’t say for certain that he did live. Elements of both “The Iliad” and “The Odyssey” do seem to be coming to light. Troy was thought a myth until the 1870s when Schliemann discovered it. Until recently Ithaca has called into question “The Odyssey” because it doesn’t mesh with Homer’s description. Then recently it was determined that the Paliki Peninsula on the island of Cephalonia may actually have been a separate island in ancient times and it does mesh with Homer’s description of Ithaca.
