What volunteer opportunities exist at Mohican?
There are a myriad of tasks for which to volunteer at Mohican – before, during, and after the race. Mohican needs many volunteers and welcomes all who can help for days or hours. Injured runners, family members, runners whose schedule does not permit entering Mohican this year, Mohican entrants druing the time they are not running, anyone who wants to be part of an exciting event, etc. – all are needed! Volunteers are needed for computer data entry of the times that runners enter the aid stations. This is done at the headquarters in an air-conditioned RV type vehicle. People may sign up for a couple hours or for several shifts by contacting Stan Kinney, n8rnk@sssnet.com Trail marking is done a few days prior to the event. Trails are checked during the event. Trail markings are removed after all runners have covered that part of the trail – either during or after the race.
