What volunteer and community-involvement opportunities exist?
The Volunteer Center’s mission is to coordinate volunteer and service-learning activities, programs and support services. The mission is accomplished through matching student volunteers with the needs of campus and community agencies and developing opportunities for students to engage in service and experiential learning through civic engagement. Examples of volunteer opportunities include a Fall and Spring Volunteer Fair, on-site tutoring, A Day of Caring, and a Fall and Spring Blood Drive. The Volunteer Center is housed in the Center For Community, MacVittie College Union 353A and connected to the GOLD Leadership through the sapphire volunteerism and service leadership certificate and the GOLD Leader Mentor volunteers.
