Ginseng or guarana are very good. Make sure you take any energy supplements in the morning, and not in the evening. Another thing to consider: it is not advised to take ginseng if you have any heart conditions. The best form to take them is in liquid form, as liquids are absorbed quicker than pills. Sometimes health shops sell them in single shots, which is, to my opinion is the most convenient and effective way. Then there is Floradix, which is very good for women, and is generally a vitamin supplement with vitamin B complex.
