What viruses cause the deadliest diseases?
Hemorrhagic viruses are horrible. Ebola is pretty darned deadly–in fact it’s so fast that it self-limits (unless you throw in air travel) because people die before they can get very far–within hours of catching it. When it first cropped up in the 90’s, there was widespread fear about it, until people realized that it was so self-limiting. It’s almost TOO efficient as viruses go, because it doesn’t allow the victims to walk around spreading it for very long!
