Brightcove players can play back VP6 (FLV) or H.264 (MP4) format files. When you upload a non-VP6, non-H.264 source file, Brightcove transcodes the file into your choice of VP6 or H.264. When you upload an H.264 file, you can choose to leave it as H.264 or have Brightcove transcode it to VP6.
