Only Windows Vista Business and Ultimate can be downgraded to Windows XP, Vista Home Basic and Home Premium cannot be downgraded. You need to borrow A windows XP media with a Product key (it can be any used media in the office or home), install the windows XP media and enter the product key. Then call the activation team, they will provide you with an activation code for Windows XP under the vista license.
