You need the System 11.0.x version of SQL Monitor. A System 10.x SQL Monitor will not work with a System 11.0.x SQL Server. Also, a stored procedure, sp_sysmon, is available; the procedure itself is distributed with the SQL Server, and the documentation for it is part of the 11.0.1 version of the SQL Server Performance and Tuning Guide.
