– Superior petrosal sinus – An anterior extension of the tranverse sinus along the petrous portion of the temporal bone – Inferior petrosal sinus (in-between endocranium and true dura, but not dural fold) – Runs between clivus and petrous portion of the temporal bone – Communication between cavernous sinus and the jugular bulb at the jugular foramen. – Right and left communicate via channels, which form the basilar plexus (on clivus). The basilar plexus may communicate with the occipital sinus via channels along the foramen magnum called marginal sinuses. – Sigmoid sinus (in-between endocranium and true dura, but not dural fold) – Continuous with transverse sinuses at their junction with the superior petrosal sinuses.
