What vehicle has the best gas mileage with the highest horsepower?
It’s a major engineering challenge for internal combustion gas engines to pack the whiz-bang punch of power/speed while maintaining decent gas mileage. Debatable if it can be done. Frankly, I think it’s a miracle yet to ( if ever ) happen. Yet the major US automakers, by law, have to crank out cars and trucks w/ mileage close to 40 mpg. My guess is there are car models in Research and Development that call for IC engine operation to be free of air conditioning / heating burdens by implementing (roof paint embedded) solar panel techonology for AC systems. Don’t be surprised to see the poly synthetic facet of IC engine operation come out w/ “super” oils and lubes ( likely now in testing stages as well). Exterior body designs will also be more aerodynamic, calling for the car body wax industry to crank out better products. And look for the major tire manufacturers to be testing better traction tires that also assist with the ever coveted MPG rating, as well. “Hybrid” is a buzzword getting
