What vegetable is Jack Daniels made with?
Jack Daniel’s whiskey is primarily made from the vegetable corn and is technically considered a Tennessee whiskey and not a bourbon. The process that distinguishes Tennessee whiskey from Kentucky bourbon is that Tennessee whiskey like Jack Daniel’s is filtered through sugar maple charcoal in large wooden barrels prior to the maturation process, unlike the process used to make Kentucky bourbon, which uses oak barrels. Other ingredients used in creating Jack Daniel’s whiskey are rye, barley malt and a little vanilla.
