What variety of apple tree will grow to maturity at 10 to 15 feet tall?
Hi, Dwarf apple trees will grow to about 10′ Semi-Dwarf will grow to about 15′ Columnar will grow smaller than dwarf and are good for pots. Where do you live? Find out your USDA hardiness zone and make sure that you buy a tree that will do well in that zone. I like Stark Bros mail order/website. Gurneys and Henry Fields are also pretty good. A reputable place will be able to tell you when to plant the tree in the fall or spring and ship your order at the appropriate time. Unless you live in the south, January is not a time to plant them. Also look into polination requirements – some trees produce more fruit when a different type of apple tree is close buy.
