What values and attitudes to world war one propaganda posters draw on?

Nationalism…..most WW I propaganda revolves around nationalism. The pride one feels in their country and the desire to protect that country, and all it means…the way of life, the cultural and religious nature of the country. They also made use of anger…if you can make someone feel outraged at whats going on…”England Destroyed, France Next”…fear that this will happen to them, change their way of life, endanger their loved ones. Propaganda has always relied on grabbing the emotions of a group of people…love of country, contentment with their life, love of family…and manipulating it so that the people seeing the poster, ad, whatever, will fear that this is going to be taken away from them. It also relied heavily on “Right”….the superiority of the people, their right to protect themselves and by extension to protect others who were of the same mind.
